Fort Myers Physician James Orr, Jr., MD, Elected President of Florida OB/GYN Society

Jacksonville, FL—The Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society (FOGS) is pleased to announce the election of James W. Orr, Jr., MD, FACS, FACOG as President of the Society. Dr. Orr, a gynecologic oncologist from Fort Myers, Florida, has practiced medicine in Florida since 1985. He currently serves as Medical Director of Florida Gynecologic Oncology and Lee Cancer Care in Fort Myers.

Dr. Orr is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine and he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and his Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He has represented the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists on the Executive Committee of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) and is past president of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and the Florida Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.

The Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society's mission is to foster the best obstetrical and gynecological care of Florida's women through fellowship, education and cooperation of Florida's doctors of medicine who practice obstetrics and gynecology.
