Jacksonville Obstetrician Gynecologist Guy I. Benrubi, MD Elected President of Florida OB/GYN Society

The Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society (FOGS) is pleased to announce the election of Guy I. Benrubi, MD, as President of the Society. Dr. Benrubi is Professor, Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at University of Florida College of Medicine, Associate Chairman, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Florida Health Science Center/Jacksonville, and Chair, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Shands Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Benrubi received both his B.A and M.A. from New York University. He received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate-Brooklyn, New York. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He completed his fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also holds a certificate in Medical Ethics from the University of Washington.

Dr. Benrubi is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of a numerous medical societies, including: American Society of Clinical Oncology, Florida Medical Association, founding member of The John Mikuta Society, founding member of the Jacksonville Oncology Society and Honorary Member of the Miami Obstetrical and Gynecological Society.

Among his outstanding awards and achievements, Dr. Benrubi has been awarded Outstanding Student Teaching in OB/GYN- University of Florida consecutively for the last twelve years (1992-2004).
