SOCIETY MANAGEMENT AND ADDRESS CHANGE
On October 1, 2001, the Society officially changed management organizations and its headquarter's address. The new management company is Compass Management and Consulting located in Jacksonville, Florida. Our Executive Director Chris Seymour (exec@flobgyn.org)and his staff can be reached 9am-5pm M-F at 904-998-0853. Correspondence to the Society should be addressed to: P.O. LEGISLATIVE VISIT DAYS CANCELLED(NOV 6-7)
The November 6-7, 2001, Legislative Days have been cancelled due to the tragedy of September 11, 2001 and the possibility of a special legislative session which makes meetings with legislators difficult. The meeting will be scheduled for January or February. Watch the newsletter/website for details.

2002 DUES STATEMENTS IN THE MAIL
Attached to this news brief is the 2002 dues invoice. Please make a note of the new society address when returning dues. It's also important to list your changes of information and include an email address so we can alert you during the legislative session.

NEW SOCIETY WEBSITE WWW.FLOBGYN.ORG
The Society is developing a new website for news and information. This will include extensive coverage of the legislative session. Expect it in operation November 2001.

FOGS REPRESENTED AT THE FMA
Dr. Karen Harris was recently elected to the Governing Council of the Specialty Society Section during the FMA Annual Meeting at the Doral Resort and Country Club September 21-23, 2001. Dr. Gary DeVane, President of the Society and Dr. Harris were very involved in the development of an FMA task force on malpractice insurance issues and are taking leadership positions in the effort to reduce skyrocketing costs throughout the state. The next FMA meeting is October 19-20 in Tampa, Florida.
