ACOG Florida Section Junior Fellow News => Autumn 2007Shelley Holmstrom, MD Florida Section Junior Fellow Officers Congratulations to the new Florida Junior Fellow vice chair, Cristina M. Saiz Rodriguez, MD. She is a resident from the University of Miami and will work closely with the current Florida Junior Fellow chair, Dr. Francisco Cruz (also of the University of Miami). Call for Cases: Stump the Professors ACOG is accepting cases for the next “Stump the Professors” at the Annual Clinical Meeting (ACM) in New Orleans on Tuesday, May 6, 2008. The clinical situation should be intriguing and potentially change the practice of obstetrics and gynecology. The junior fellows with the best four cases receive free registration to the ACM, as well as travel and hotel expenses for three days. The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2007. A one-page summary (including the final diagnosis) describing the case in no more than 750 words can be submitted via the ACOG website (www.acog.org). Florida Ob/Gyn Society Meeting—Resident Research Awards The annual Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society meeting resident research presentations were on Friday, August 24, 2007 at the Naples Grand Resort in Naples, Florida. Dr. J.K. Williams of the University of South Florida moderated this event. The resident physicians presented some wonderful and exciting information.
